As the inaugural Fair of the Summer season, the London International Fine Art Fair is arguably the widest ranging and most accessible event of its kind in London. It is also London’s oldest and greatest summer international fine arts and antiques fair. The 2010 Fair will open its doors to general admission from Thursday, 3rd June and will run over ten days, promising new and exciting items to view. The venue for this fantastic event is the exquisite Grand Hall in Olympia: counted amongst London’s most elegant venues.

The 2010 event has been expanded and improved and it has to be considered as a vital addition to London’s fine art scene: indeed, London has now become recognised as a major international focal point for fine art and antiques, rivalled only by the United States.

All levels of collectors are catered for at the LIFAF, from the first time collector to the seasoned and experienced ones. An unsurpassed array of art, jewellery will be on sale: all objects have been meticulously selected by a team of 200 experts.

There will be a special programme of talks, lectures and guided tours, presented by experts in their chosen fields, where all visitors will have the chance to expand upon their knowledge regarding fine art, antiques and modern and contemporary design. These eminent people include representatives from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and the World Monuments Fund.

A special and exciting feature exhibition this year is the “Modern British Masters: Pictures from the Bryan Ferry Collection”. This exhibition, which has to date been rarely seen outside the confines of Bryan Ferry’s home, consists of fifteen early twentieth century British paintings, encapsulating Ferry’s enthusiasm for the art of the era and which he has collected over a period of thirty years.
